In my opinion, pizza isn't really pizza without a tomato base. I used to put tomato paste on my pizzas but at 19g of carbs per 100g it's way too high. So I started making my own keto version.
Ingredients:
- 1 tin of tomato puree (410g)
- 15ml worcestershire sauce
- 7g crushed garlic
- salt & pepper
- 1 tbsp dried chilli flakes
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 15ml olive oil

I buy these tins of tomato puree that are labelled as 1g carbs per 100g, which I'm pretty sure means it's mostly water and thickening agent (fun). Take one of these and pour it into a large jug.
Add the worcestershire sauce and mix well.
Add the garlic, olive oil and spices and stir everything in.
Pour the mixture into an ice tray or two and freeze. Once the cubes are frozen, I pop them out of the tray and into a ziplock bag in the freezer. They do get a bit icy after a while but they last a few months in the freezer. To use these, put one or two (depending on size of pizza) in a small frying with a tablespoon of butter and melt together. You can also add basil to the pan for more flavour in your base.
